Quorn Burger ‘Chicken’ or ‘Beef’ Style

As a vegetarian, there are not many foods I miss but if you ask me, burgers was one one of them and boy did I ever think I'd have a burger this good.  The key is good bread and these patties.  These burgers are sure to hit the spot and I confirm are much better than any meat burger that I have ever tasted.  This is what a real burger should be and whether or not you are giving up the meat burgers for good, you have got to try these.
P.S this recipe doubles as a mid-week life-saver.

Ingredients

·        Southern-style Quorn patty/s or Classic Quorn patty/s

·        Cape seed roll/s (preferably Baker’s Delight)

·        Avocado for slathering

·        Low-fat cheese slices

·        Tomato and lettuce, optional

Method

1.     If using Southern-style patty, bake at 180 fan-forced for 22 minutes turning after 10 minutes.  If using a Classic patty pan-fry in some oil for 6 minutes, turning every 2 minutes.

2.     Cut the roll open and slather desired amount of avocado onto both sides. Then place patty, cheese and tomato and lettuce, if using. Slice into triangles (the cape seed rolls from baker’s Delight already have a slash so just follow that basically).

Serves as many as you like.

*The Southern-style patties have a chicken texture and flavour with a mild southern spice, better than canteen chicken burgers!

The Classic patties have a beef texture and flavour with a smoky accent, very classic.

·        These patties are not vegan but they are vegetarian.
